PayPal Commerce Platform
Connect PayPal Commerce Platform as a gateway
PayPal Commerce Platform is available as a gateway using your own PayPal REST API credentials.

Setup
- From Settings > Payments, choose Add Gateway
- Select PayPal Commerce Platform
- Enter your credentials

| Client ID | The client ID from your PayPal REST app |
| Client Secret | The secret issued for that client ID |
Payment Methods
Cards accepted: Visa, Mastercard, AMEX, Discover, and JCB.
Alternative payment methods are not available on this gateway.
3DS2
3DS2 is not supported on PayPal Commerce Platform. The gateway still shows a 3DS card, but Off is the only 3DS Mode it accepts.
Statement Descriptor
The descriptor field is Soft Descriptor. It is the dynamic text used to build the descriptor on the payer's card statement.
It supports up to 22 characters: letters, numbers, spaces, and . - *
Authorize & Capture
Authorizations expire after 3 days on PayPal Commerce Platform, shorter than the 7 days every other gateway allows. Capture within that window.
A refund against an uncaptured authorization is sent as a void. See Authorize & Capture.
